When Northern NYC Resolution Inc. represents you at your OATH/ECB hearing, there's a strong chance the violation will be dismissed. If the charges are found to be unsubstantiated, they will be fully cleared, and any associated penalties will be eliminated.

However, there are situations where the violation cannot be dismissed. In these cases, if the violation is upheld, the responsible agency will require payment of fines. Additionally, a Certificate of Correction will need to be filed to resolve the issue.

Steps to Correct the Violation:

  1. Building Plan & Permits: Filing a Certificate of Correction often requires a new building plan to be drafted and expedited for approval by the appropriate agency. Permits will also need to be obtained to proceed with the necessary corrections.

  2. Physical Work: Only after securing the necessary permits can physical work begin to resolve the violation. Once the work is completed, our expediters will work to get the plans signed off.

  3. Final Approval: After the work is done and the plans are approved, you can then file the Certificate of Correction. Without it, even if fines have been paid, the violation remains "open non-compliant." Only after receiving the approved Certificate of Correction from the Department can the violation be considered officially closed.
